Position Overview

An excellent opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Office Coordinator to become a vital part of our administrative team within the Gastroenterology Department.

Applicants should possess prior experience in a healthcare administrative role, demonstrating a solid understanding of medical terminology.

The ideal candidate will be adept at managing various administrative responsibilities, showcasing strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the capability to work independently while adhering to established protocols, both autonomously and collaboratively within the broader team.

Team collaboration is essential, and the candidate should be prepared to support colleagues during their absences. Previous experience in general office administration is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support to the IBD nursing staff and consultants with minimal supervision.

Effectively manage your workload and coordinate activities with fellow medical secretaries and administrative personnel to ensure the delivery of an efficient service.

It is crucial to demonstrate initiative appropriate to the role, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Facilitate cross-cover arrangements whenever feasible.

Engage in communication with all staff disciplines and patients throughout the organization and external entities.

Address all inquiries in a confidential and proficient manner, alongside general office tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
