Job Summary

The Gillmoss Medical Centre is seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients in accessing the appropriate medical services or healthcare professionals, ensuring that they receive the best possible care.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the practice, including secretarial and clerical tasks.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Process and issue prescriptions, maintain appointment schedules, and manage patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with practice policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and maintain the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in using practice management software.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice or medical office.
  • Knowledge of EMIS Web or similar practice management systems.
