Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Coordinator to join our team at Spire Liverpool Hospital. As a key member of our Business Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient provision and maintenance of our hospital charging service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all billing is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedures, identifying billing problems, placing billing alerts, suspending and clearing as required.
  • Follow up on billing queries, liaising with Central Finance as needed.
  • Provide and receive patient information, ensuring that all patient information is provided, received, and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.
  • Undertake any training or development as required to acquire skills and knowledge to undertake the role competently.
  • Adhere to organisational and local infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Process financial and administrative transactions in an accurate and methodical way.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers at all levels, demonstrating a confident telephone manner.

Requirements:

  • Track record of successful delivery in a similar role, in a busy office and/or customer service environment.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
