About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Clerk to join our team in the Gastroenterology Department at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to IBD nurses and consultants, ensuring a comprehensive service is delivered with minimal supervision.
  • Organize and coordinate activities with other medical secretaries and administrative clerks to ensure an efficient service is provided.
  • Show initiative and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with all disciplines of staff and patients throughout the Trust and other bodies.
  • Deal with queries in a confidential and competent manner, and perform general office duties.
Person Specification
  • Essential Qualifications
    • NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant area.
  • Desirable Experience
    • Previous NHS experience.
  • Desirable Knowledge
    • Knowledge of the NHS, including iPM, ICE, and Choose & Book systems.
  • Essential Skills
    • IT skills.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Previous clerical experience.
    • Able to maintain confidentiality.
    • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
