Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional administrator to join our Secretariat, Legal and Governance Services team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Board of Governors, ensuring that all expected outputs are met, and will work closely with the Clerk to the Board to provide advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Board of Governors, including preparing meeting materials, taking minutes, and maintaining records.
  • Work closely with the Clerk to the Board to ensure that all expected outputs are met, including providing advice and guidance on governance matters.
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure that governance arrangements are efficient and effective.
  • Organize an annual workshop and conference for the Board of Governors.
  • Liaise with the Vice-Chancellor's Office on governance matters.

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the Higher Education sector and its governance arrangements.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to evaluate precedents and analyze best practice.
  • Strong organizational ability and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
