About the Role

Liverpool John Moores University is seeking an experienced professional administrator to join its Secretariat, Legal and Governance Services team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Board of Governors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the Board and its sub-committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Board of Governors, including preparing meeting materials and taking minutes.
  • Work closely with the Clerk to the Board to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date systems and processes to support the Board's work.
  • Liaise with the Vice-Chancellor's Office to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of university governance and administration.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A thorough understanding of the Higher Education sector and its governance structures.
