Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and motivated Administrative Support Officer/Tribunal Hearing Clerk to join our team at Brook Street. As a key member of our public sector client's administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the Judiciary and customers who attend hearings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all types of correspondence received, both manual and electronic, in accordance with current guidance.
  • Update appeals on the database accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Interact with other government departments and salaried/fee-paid Judges/Members.
  • Clerk tribunal hearings in various locations.
  • Provide a professional service to the Judiciary and customers who attend hearings.
  • Meet and greet Judicial panel members, customers, and representatives.
  • Ensure hearings are managed on time and in line with guidance for clerking, including the recording of the hearing.
  • Update the database with outcomes and produce Decision Notices on the day.
  • Notify First Tier Agencies of decisions.
  • Deal with customer queries that may arise on the day and ensure they understand the hearing process.

Requirements:

  • Able to follow well-established processes and detailed instructions.
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
