Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to become a vital part of our enthusiastic and supportive Paediatric Respiratory Therapy team, located within a prominent healthcare institution.

This full-time permanent position offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday, following a structured schedule.

The role encompasses exercise implementation and inpatient management for children with cystic fibrosis and acute respiratory issues. There will also be opportunities to assist senior physiotherapists in outpatient clinics and manage respiratory cases as needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate the needs of the Therapy Services, which may include weekend shifts, holiday duties, and on-call responsibilities. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure readiness for these tasks.

Candidates must showcase postgraduate experience and clinical expertise in managing cystic fibrosis and acute respiratory conditions, along with a strong commitment to working with children.

You will be required to exhibit the capability to function as an independent practitioner while managing diverse clinical caseloads, as well as collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential to inspire and engage paediatric patients, their families, and colleagues.

Leadership and management abilities are necessary to assist in supervising support staff, students, and junior physiotherapists.

Although the primary focus will be within the paediatric respiratory team, candidates should be adaptable and willing to provide support across various paediatric specialties as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc Hons (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of postgraduate training in relevant specialties
