Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist in Motor Neurone Disease

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at the MND Care Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical services to patients with Motor Neurone Disease, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist clinical services to patients with MND, including assessment, treatment, and management of respiratory symptoms.
- Work closely with the MDT to deliver coordinated and integrated care, and to support service development, evaluation, and governance.
- Lead and supervise the implementation of policies and procedures related to respiratory care for patients with MND.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs for healthcare professionals and patients on respiratory care for MND.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of clinical guidelines and best practices for respiratory care in MND.
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Postgraduate qualification in Respiratory Physiotherapy or a related field.
- Significant experience in working with patients with MND, including experience in leading and managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
