Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to become a vital member of our enthusiastic and supportive Paediatric Respiratory Therapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

This full-time permanent role offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday, with responsibilities that include providing exercise therapy and inpatient care for children with cystic fibrosis and acute respiratory conditions. You will also have the chance to assist Band 7 colleagues in managing outpatient clinics and respiratory caseloads as needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate the needs of the Therapy Services, which may include weekend shifts, Bank Holiday duties, and on-call responsibilities. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Applicants must exhibit postgraduate experience and clinical expertise in managing cystic fibrosis and acute respiratory conditions, along with a genuine passion for working with children.

It is essential to demonstrate the capability to function as an independent practitioner while managing diverse clinical caseloads, as well as collaborating effectively within the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for motivating paediatric patients, their families, and colleagues.

Leadership and management skills are necessary to support the supervision of junior staff, students, and Band 5 physiotherapists.

While the primary focus of this role is within the paediatric respiratory team, flexibility and adaptability are required to assist with inpatient care across other specialities when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience
