Job Title: Regional Manager

About the Role:

iQ Student Accommodation is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our North region. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our site teams, ensuring the delivery of a safe, clean, welcoming, and vibrant environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Own the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of your teams across your region.
  • Regional Communications: Be the centre of all regional communications, ensuring the team has clarity on roles and responsibilities at all times.
  • Site Visits: Hold regular site visits with site teams and managers to track performance across the balanced scorecard.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the regional team, ensuring reward and recognition is a priority, and poor performance is addressed in a timely manner.
  • Training and Development: Ensure all mandatory training and role-based training is kept up to date across the region.
  • Talent Management: Explore the talent matrix and succession plan to ensure high performance in the team.
  • Culture and Compliance: Build a culture of high standards of compliance, working with HAST & Estates.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Host a fortnightly meeting with key stakeholders and the team to ensure best practice and compliance across the region.
  • Compliance and Audits: Achieve high compliance through the HAST audit scheme, exceeding the benchmark.
  • Staffing and Training: Ensure site teams are fully staffed with 'Keyholder' trained iQers at all times and have adequate MHFA trained staff.
  • Incident Management: React to and own incidents across the region, ensuring a timely response.
  • iQQi Audits: Carry out iQQi audits to ensure teams are delivering the brand standard and operations compliance.
  • Asset Management: Engage with the regional HAST / ESTATES & ASSET teams to ensure iQ properties are on brand and fit for customers.
  • Business Development: Develop asset plans with the asset team to ensure the iQ Proposition is continually evolving to meet the future needs of the customer.
  • Operations Standards: Ensure the site teams deliver the operations standards of iQ HOW.
  • NPS and Customer Satisfaction: Lead the teams to deliver an NPS score and move-in and move-out which exceeds the company target.
  • Response Times and Escalations: Ensure response times are met across all sites and escalations are owned and resolved in the region.
  • Initiative Rollout: Own the roll-out of initiatives from the central functions across all sites.
  • Site Performance: Ensure all sites are at 4* and above across all review platforms.
  • Trade Review Meetings: Hold weekly trade review meetings within the region.
  • University Partnerships: Attend meetings with University partners to ensure a healthy long-term relationship.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of managing large multi-skilled teams.
  • Experience in financial management and budget control.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on experience obsession.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead change/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable management and leadership skills sufficient to recruit, lead, direct, evaluate, and manage team members to achieve high performance.

Working Arrangements:

We work a hybrid working model with 3 days in our sites across Scotland and the North.
