**Project Director - MEP Delivery**

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Director with a strong background in MEP to lead and influence our ambitious projects in Regional Scotland.

The successful candidate will hold overall accountability for the initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/closeout of our projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Overall responsibility for the success of the project.
  • Allocate resources and staff ensuring projects have appropriate support.
  • Identify the quality expectations and ensure these are achieved.
  • Understand the contractual requirements of the project.
  • Proactively manage the customer relationship during pre-construction, delivery, and post-construction, including change management, risk management, and decision-making to effectively manage expectations.
  • Participate in and sign off the supply chain selection process, ensuring that an appropriate balance is made between commercial focus, quality orientation, delivery capability, and safety record.
  • Ensure effective records are maintained for project delivery and regularly report on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Attend and lead contract reviews for projects you are accountable for, ensuring accurate records are kept and actions are timely monitored and completed.

**Personal Qualities & Experience:**

  • Proven MEP project delivery experience as a Senior Programme Project or Contract Manager.
  • Proficiency in commercial/project management communications.
  • Effective team management, empowering, influencing, and inspiring others.
  • Strong focus on commercial management of contracts and budgets.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics.
  • Membership in a professional management body (e.g., APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ, CSCS, and SMSTS or equivalent).
