About the Opportunity:
FedTec is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to oversee and deliver complex IT projects for a significant government entity. This role involves managing multiple teams and coordinating various work streams to adhere to a rigorous delivery schedule. The Senior Program Coordinator will be accountable for the successful outcomes of assigned projects, guiding the team through established project management standards.

Work Location: Richmond, VA

Candidate Requirements:
Candidates must possess a PMP certification through PMI or VITA's PM certification. No other certifications will be accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a hands-on technical project coordinator, collaborating with development teams and business units.
  • Facilitate communication with management and staff to ensure effective task coordination and resource allocation.
  • Set clear timelines and expectations for both technical and business personnel. Work closely with vendors and contractors to manage project execution, including contract oversight.
  • Adhere to project management practices and governance requirements, coordinating with relevant Project Management Offices.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including budgets, schedules, risks, and status updates, ensuring all stakeholders are informed as per the communication plan.
  • Lead workshops to define requirements and use cases, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Establish test objectives and design test plans for assigned projects, managing milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Measure and communicate project progress using relevant metrics. Support training initiatives for systems and applications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and project teams.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and implementing technology solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and interface management tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or VITA certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management approaches.
  • Ability to develop custom reports using standard IT application tools.
  • Relevant education or experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Progressively responsible experience in system analysis, design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Agile Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Work Schedule:
This position requires on-site presence four days a week, with no exceptions.
