Role: Senior Project Coordinator
Client: VDOT
Location: Richmond, Virginia (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 12 months or more
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery timelines.
- Oversee project phases including initiation, planning, execution, and closure, adhering to established project management standards.
- Act as a hands-on project leader, collaborating closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and management, ensuring clarity in timelines and expectations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors, managing contracts and procurement processes as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, use cases, and test plans.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Support training initiatives related to systems and applications.
Required Qualifications:
- PMP Certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large-scale projects valued at $10M or more.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure delivery and vendor management.
- Familiarity with both Scaled Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Project Management, or Business Administration.
