Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor to enhance our team within Vistry Services, focusing on various projects in the construction and maintenance sectors.

As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the secure planning, execution, and evaluation of diverse projects while adhering to Vistry Group's Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Policies and applicable regulations.

What We Expect From You:

  • Adherence to our core values: Integrity, Caring, and Quality
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma is essential
  • Previous experience in the construction sector is advantageous
  • Background as a Safety Advisor in Residential Construction or Tier 1 Contracting is preferred
  • Membership in a Professional Body, with a goal of achieving Chartered status
  • Experience in housebuilding is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Vistry Group's roles and responsibilities under the CDM Regulations for each project, collaborating with management to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate the implementation of SHE policies and procedures to mitigate risks and foster a positive safety culture.
  • Actively promote Vistry Group's behavioral safety approach through site visits and management discussions.
  • Support the deployment of the Group's ActivSHEQ database, ensuring accurate data input and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Assist in SHE Management Reviews to evaluate and enhance performance.
  • Maintain a proactive stance in promoting SHE across the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance for pre-qualification and tender documentation.
  • Aid site management in preparing SHE Plans and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance.
