About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for H&S Advisors and escalate issues that cannot be resolved or require further support to H&S/Discipline Leads.
- Oversee HSE advisors' K.P.I's and support HSE Area Lead within accident/investigations.
- Conduct audits of MEH site activities and sub-contractor operations, as well as facilitating meetings.
- Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements.
- Build relationships with other Tier 1's and the Principal Contractor.
- Monitor the working practices of MEH employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment, and welfare.
Requirements
- NEBOSH general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
- H&S Diploma or working towards.
- Strong construction background with a minimum 5 years' experience.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people.
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations.
- IT literate – familiar with Microsoft packages.
