In the role of Safety, Health & Environment Consultant, you will play a crucial part in assisting Vistry Group with the secure planning, execution, and evaluation of a diverse range of intricate projects within the construction and maintenance sectors, while ensuring adherence to Vistry Group's Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policies, Standards, and relevant legislation.

- Previous experience in a Safety Advisor capacity within Residential Construction or Tier 1 Contracting is preferred

Key Responsibilities of the Safety, Health & Environment Consultant
- Define the roles and responsibilities of Vistry Group concerning the CDM Regulations for each project and collaborate with the Business Manager and Site Manager to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate the application of policies and procedures within business units to mitigate risks and foster a positive SHE culture.
- Actively promote Vistry Group's behavioral approach through site inspections, management meetings, and forums.
- Support the effective implementation of the Group's ActivSHEQ database by promoting the system at the site level and ensuring timely data input as required by an SHE Advisor.
- Assist SHE line management in executing all Group SHE Standards and report any site or business unit issues that may affect SHE compliance or resource needs.
- Provide advisory support during regular SHE Management Reviews to evaluate and enhance performance.
- Aid the business in planning, reviewing, and achieving SHE objectives.
- Monitor and assess performance against the Group and Divisional Sustainability Route Maps.
- Maintain a proactive approach to promoting and supporting SHE across the Group.
- Represent Vistry Group as a company that effectively manages SHE through communication with relevant external professionals, including legislative authorities and industry associations.
- Offer specialized support through advice and guidance for the completion of pre-qualification and tender documentation.
- Assist site management in preparing construction SHE Plans prior to project initiation and review them during monthly safety, health, and environmental assessments.
- Conduct formal SHE reviews on all sites at least monthly to ensure compliance with Vistry Group SHE Policies, Standards, and legislation, ensuring thorough and factual evaluations.
- Where feasible, conduct informal interim site visits to provide support, advice, and guidance to site teams after meeting minimum review requirements.
