Position Overview
The role of the Housing Services Manager is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of Social Housing services, ensuring that a high-quality and effective housing management experience is provided to clients within a designated area.

Key Responsibilities
As a Housing Services Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Leading and inspiring the Social Housing Team to achieve operational excellence and align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Overseeing team performance through effective mentoring and coaching techniques.
  • Managing a dynamic team of Housing Officers, exemplifying agile and flexible working practices to enhance customer service.
  • Monitoring and reporting on service performance and cost efficiency to senior management, utilizing data analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Contributing to budget development and management, ensuring financial accountability in line with organizational policies.
  • Collaborating with clients to address and resolve issues, working closely with relevant teams to manage escalated complaints.
  • Establishing and refining internal processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, including safeguarding and equality measures.
  • Effectively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to foster strong working relationships.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven history of managing high-quality customer service operations, ideally within the housing sector.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams, with a focus on performance management.
  • Strong customer service orientation with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislation and standards related to Social Housing and associated sectors.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement skills, both within and outside the organization.
  • A results-oriented mindset with strong analytical capabilities to provide actionable insights.
