We are in search of a Train Crew Competence Manager to oversee our team of Train Crew.

Reporting directly to the Lead Competence Manager, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and sustain a proficient, high-performing, and customer-oriented team through effective management of all competence and policy requirements.

Applicants must hold a valid Train Driver certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring adherence to all GTR Operational Competence Standards and Policies.
  • Overseeing that all assessments are conducted as scheduled and meet the required standards.
  • Communicating any performance deficiencies in Train Crew to the Driver Line Managers, along with a proposed improvement plan if related to competence.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all regulations and standards relevant to train operations.
  • An impeccable safety record.
  • A1/A2 & L12 or equivalent nationally recognized qualifications in competence assessment and coaching.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence others.
  • Competence in operating traction units pertinent to your designated area.
