Role Overview: As a vital member of the People Partnership Team, this position is tasked with delivering comprehensive HR support and guidance in all facets of personnel management for The White Company Stores and its business associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish robust business relationships and promote 'People Partnership' within the Retail sector, collaborating with Area Managers to enhance people-centric business decisions.
  • While primarily focused on Retail stores, the role also encompasses advisory responsibilities for Head Office and Contact Centre colleagues as needed.
  • Support the London, South East, International & Outlet stores, necessitating regular travel to these locations.
  • Act as a People Partner for Area Managers and Store Management, providing coaching and advice on people and operational decisions, considering strategic initiatives and potential business risks.
  • Adopt a global and cross-functional perspective, contemplating implications beyond immediate tasks.
  • Foster sustainable and credible relationships with key stakeholders across the Retail landscape.
  • Demonstrate initiative by managing key projects and deliverables within the team.
  • Deliver prompt and effective HR services to managers and employees on a diverse range of inquiries.
  • Drive departmental and Retail strategies, owning project streams in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Interpret and embody our brand in all people management materials, ensuring relevance and appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with L&D, Talent Acquisition, Communications & Engagement, and Pay & Reward teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive people-centric initiatives.
  • Facilitate biannual Talent processes, driving talent actions across the team and area.
  • Manage Employee Relations by working with Store Managers and Area Managers to provide solutions-focused services for employee relations issues, proactively addressing recurring organizational challenges.
  • Support Retail in all aspects of Talent management, including managing underperformance and identifying high performers.

Compliance and Development:

  • Stay informed about changes in employment law, anticipating their impact on the business and implementing processes to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Ensure that our policies and procedures remain legally compliant and are interpreted fairly and consistently by managers across all teams.
  • Support all flexible working applications.
  • Utilize relevant metrics and data to develop insights that support and influence People Team strategies and initiatives, as well as management behavior across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Pay and Reward team to assist with annual reward processes, including pay reviews and bonus distributions.
  • Support senior colleagues in organizational design projects while advising business partners on related queries.
