Nights Team Leader - WHSmith

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 3 on 3 off, 6pm till 6am

As a Nights Team Leader at WHSmith, you will be responsible for guiding and motivating your team to deliver outstanding customer service while achieving business goals. Your leadership will foster a positive work environment that encourages personal growth and achievement among colleagues.

Airport Requirements:
  • 5 years of continuous references required for airport pass eligibility.
  • Criminal Records Bureau Check to be conducted by WHSmith upon successful application.
  • Valid Photographic ID such as a passport or UK Driving Licence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Directing and engaging your team to uphold high standards and meet operational targets.
  • Fostering a culture of learning and recognition, identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and product knowledge.
  • Supporting colleagues in a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Instilling a sense of pride in store operations, ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Recent experience in retail leadership, preferably in a dynamic setting, with a solid understanding of key performance indicators.
  • Proven ability to lead by example, actively participating in daily operations alongside your team.
  • Flexibility to assist other locations as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in training and developing team members, motivating them to excel.
