Job Purpose:

To deliver an effective lifeguard service in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. You will assist in providing a range of sport and leisure activities while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid as necessary and report incidents as per procedures.
  • Conduct all duties in accordance with current health and safety regulations.
  • Perform general cleaning duties as per established schedules.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment safely and methodically.
  • Contribute to the facility's performance by ensuring a customer-focused service.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring compliance with child protection policies.
  • Promote equal opportunities and health and safety.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Progression Criteria to A2:

  • Supervise swimming pool activities, identifying hazards and taking appropriate action.
  • Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification through ongoing training.

The responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive and may include other duties commensurate with the role.

Qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Essential Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Good general fitness level.
  • Knowledge of child protection issues.
  • Experience in customer service and lifeguarding.
