About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation of the aquatic environment. Key responsibilities include designing programs for patrons, utilizing various technologies to enhance the member experience, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Job Purpose:

The aim is to deliver a proficient and effective lifeguard service, adhering to professional standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities include facilitating a range of activities to support sports and leisure services while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid as necessary, reporting incidents according to established procedures.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct general cleaning duties as per the facility's cleaning protocols.
  • Safely manage equipment setup and storage in accordance with operational guidelines.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the facility, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring adherence to child protection policies.
  • Promote equal opportunities and health and safety practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as a condition of employment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good level of general fitness.
  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues.
  • Experience in customer service and lifeguarding duties.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Awareness of health and safety standards.
  • First Aid Qualification.
  • Experience in a public leisure center or related industry.
