About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation of the aquatic environment. Key duties include developing engaging programs for patrons, utilizing various technologies to enhance the member experience, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Job Purpose:

To deliver an effective lifeguard service in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies, while assisting in the provision of sports and leisure activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid as required, and report incidents according to procedures.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the facility.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment safely.
  • Contribute to the facility's performance and customer-focused service.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring adherence to child protection policies.
  • Promote equal opportunities and health and safety practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Progression Criteria:

  • Supervise swimming activities, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification through required training.

Qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Essential Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good physical fitness level.
  • Knowledge of child protection issues.
  • Experience in customer service and lifeguarding.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Awareness of health and safety standards.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Relevant aquatic qualifications.
  • Experience in a public leisure environment.
