About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation of the aquatic environment. Key duties include developing engaging programs for patrons, utilizing various technologies to enhance the member experience, and maintaining exceptional standards of customer service.

Responsible For: None

Job Purpose:

To deliver an effective lifeguard service in line with professional standards and organizational policies, while assisting in the provision of recreational activities and ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid as required and report incidents according to procedures.
  • Perform duties in compliance with health and safety regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility in accordance with established standards.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the facility by ensuring a customer-centric approach.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring adherence to child protection policies.
  • Promote equal opportunities and health and safety practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by supervisors, within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as a condition of employment.

Essential Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good physical fitness and motivation.
  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues.
  • Experience in customer service and lifeguarding.

Desirable Requirements: Candidates may also possess:

  • First Aid Qualification.
  • Relevant aquatic qualifications.
  • Experience in a public leisure center or similar environment.
