About the Role

You will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation of the aquatic environment. Your responsibilities will include developing engaging programs for patrons, utilizing various technologies to enhance the member experience, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To deliver a competent and efficient lifeguard service in alignment with professional standards and organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide First Aid as necessary, adhering to your qualifications, and report incidents as per established procedures.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out cleaning duties according to the center's standards.
  • Safely manage equipment setup and storage in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Ensure a customer-focused service is delivered.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring adherence to child protection policies.
  • Promote and support equal opportunities and health and safety.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Essential Requirements

  • Effective communication skills with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues.
  • Experience in customer service and lifeguarding duties.

Desirable Requirements

  • Awareness of health and safety protocols.
  • First Aid Qualification.
  • Experience in a public leisure center.
