About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation of the aquatic environment. Key responsibilities include designing programs for patrons, utilizing various technologies to enhance the member experience, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Responsible To: Duty Officer, Deputy Manager, Manager.
Responsible For: None

Job Purpose:

To deliver a proficient and effective lifeguard service in line with professional standards and organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid as necessary, in accordance with your qualifications, and report incidents as per procedures.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with current health and safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Conduct general cleaning duties following the center's cleaning schedules to maintain high standards.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment safely as per the operational program.
  • Contribute to the facility's performance by ensuring a customer-focused service.
  • Supervise children's activities, ensuring adherence to child protection policies.
  • Promote and support Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the supervisor, appropriate to your role.

Progression Criteria to A2:

  • Supervise swimming pool activities, identifying hazards and taking necessary actions.
  • Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification through required training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as a condition of employment.
