Position Overview:

As a vital member of the finance team at Benjamin Edwards Ltd, the Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering financial and administrative support. This position is essential for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily entries for sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring precision and adherence to deadlines.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including managing credit control.
  • Handle bank transactions, including payments and receipts, while ensuring proper reconciliation.
  • Provide essential financial data to facilitate informed decision-making within the organization.
  • Act as the primary support for reception duties, including site access management.
  • Assist in periodic reporting and support year-end audit processes.
  • Collaborate proactively with various departments to continuously enhance processes.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety awareness, participating in safety drills as required.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including managing correspondence, stationery, insurance, petty cash, and vehicle administration.

Candidate Profile:
  • Possession of GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is preferred.
  • AAT Level 2 Accounting or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Background in Agricultural, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
