Public Sector Partnership Services is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to lead the Business Partner Team for one of our Client Councils

We are offering a competitive salary of £55,000 + annual performance-related bonus of £3,000 + comprehensive health care plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CCAB Qualified Accountant to join us in providing management and technical accounting services to District and Borough Councils within the Southeast Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. This role offers great personal development and career progression with exposure to a variety of public sector services and innovative transformation projects.

Working with other Strategic Finance Managers, this is a chance to develop your reporting, decision-making, and technical accounting skills and to provide consistent and efficient analysis of financial management data to our client councils.

You will manage and support the Business Partner Team in the setting of annual budgets for a diverse range of public sector services, reporting financial performance, and support the technical team on completion of the final accounts. Working with your team, you will provide support to budget managers and prepare reports to update stakeholders on the financial performance of the organisation.

You will be:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of finance professionals.
  • Manage workloads within tight timescales.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Support the technical team in the completion of final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Fully CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA qualified.
  • Experienced in public sector finance.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

About Us:

PSPS (Public Sector Partnership Services) is a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) which is wholly owned by East Lindsey District Council, South Holland District Council, and Boston Borough Council. The Company operates from its offices in Spalding, Boston, and Horncastle. The Company provides a range of services including Human Resources & Payroll, Financial Services, Procurement & Contracts, ICT (Information and Communications Technology) & Digital, Customer Contact, Revenues & Benefits, Health & Safety, and a range of Corporate Support services.

The Company primarily delivers these services to its three client Councils, in support of the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (S&ELCP), across the Company itself and externally to a resident population of approximately 305,000 across the geographical boundaries of South Holland, East Lindsey, and Boston.
