About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our Neonatal Education Team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of our staff and students within the neonatal unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and facilitate clinical learning in the neonatal unit and other local areas to identify learning opportunities that enhance the quality of care for babies.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary and inter-departmental learning and simulation activities.
  • Act as a resource and role model for staff on all aspects of clinical education.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Registered Professional with a Specialist Neonatal Qualification (QIS) and ENB 405 qualification.
  • First-level degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Mentoring/coaching/education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Significant experience within the neonatal field.
  • Neonatal Life Support Qualification.
  • Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting.
  • Broad awareness of Trust initiatives/pressures.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Education at a master's degree level.
  • Further education at a master's degree level in a relevant practice area.
  • Leadership qualification or significant equivalent experience.
  • Previous Band 6 experience.
  • Further evidence of speciality competence.
