Primary Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager position include:

  • Oversee the formulation and execution of the yearly budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Deliver strategic financial assessments and insights to facilitate informed decision-making at both operational and executive tiers.
  • Engage with department leaders to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial benchmarks.
  • Perform variance analysis to pinpoint areas for enhancement, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Compile and present regular financial summaries to senior leadership, emphasizing trends, risks, and potential opportunities.
  • Lead the adoption and improvement of financial planning systems and tools.
  • Assist with strategic projects, mergers and acquisitions, and other special initiatives as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

The essential qualifications for the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager role are:

  • A recognized accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable FP&A position.
  • Strong analytical and modeling capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial planning software.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
