We're looking for aDesign Manager to join our SevernTrent team based in Solihull.

Location: Solihull - hybrid working available

Contract: Permanent

Our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks divisionbrings the built environment to life, keeping people and businessesconnected. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuringtechnically compliant, cost-effective, and environmentallyconsiderate solutions are developed in the pre-construction phase,meeting the Client's AMP objectives and regulatorycommitments.

What will yoube responsible for?

As a DesignManager, you'll be working within the Severn Trentteam, supporting them in delivering optimal design solutionsthat meet performance and programme requirements for the Worcester WastewaterTreatment works.

What does the day today in this role like?

Your day today will include:

  • Managing thetechnical approval process, consents process, and governancerequired to deliver the schemes.
  • Ensuringcompliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promoting health andsafety in design activities.
  • Leading andmanaging the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost,quality, and health and safety.
  • Overseeingproject and design budgets, forecasting design costs, and drivingefficiency through innovation and design reuse.
  • Building trust and integrity with the Client by providingtimely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuringcompliance with Client-specific deliveryprocesses.

Whatare we looking for?

This role ofDesign Manager is great for youif:

  • You hold a degree-levelengineering qualification and ideally have CSCS accreditation orare willing to obtain it.
  • You have a full UKdriving licence and are willing to travel to sites and Clientmeetings as required.
  • You have a soundunderstanding of design principles within the water industry andare familiar with Client standards and regulations.
