Design Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group. As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage the technical approval process, consents process, and governance required to deliver schemes.
- Design Leadership: Lead and manage the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost, quality, and health and safety.
- Technical Expertise: Oversee project and design budgets, forecasting design costs, and driving efficiency through innovation and design reuse.
- Client Relationship Management: Build trust and integrity with clients by providing timely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with client-specific delivery processes.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree-level engineering qualification and ideally hold CSCS accreditation or be willing to obtain it.
- Travel: Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel to sites and client meetings as required.
- Industry Knowledge: Have a sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and be familiar with client standards and regulations.
