We're seeking a seasoned Senior Design Manager to join our Construction team at Kier Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the design team and drive projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule.
- Ensure that appointed design consultants meet their obligations, scrutinizing their returns to guarantee compliance with standards and brief.
- Provide design input at both preconstruction and construction stages of projects.
- Develop and maintain design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, and schedules.
- Attend and chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivering high-value, complex design work from the main contractor's perspective.
- Ability to organize, plan, program, and manage workloads effectively.
- Experience with site/contract procedures is advantageous.
