Le Boat is a leading provider of inland waterway boating holidays, operating 37 bases in 9 countries with a fleet of 950 charter boats. The company attracts over 120,000 customers from around the world each season.

The role of Head of Brand and Creative Content is a key position within the company, responsible for developing the brand positioning, devising marketing strategies, and implementing plans to support growth targets.

The successful candidate will lead all marketing channels and regional marketing teams, collaborating closely with the Head of CRM, Head of Web Conversion, and Creative Production Manager.

The primary focus of the role is to position Le Boat as the best choice for boating holidays, attracting new customers to the brand by providing a strong brand proposition, inspirational creative, and channel marketing that showcases the company's incredible holidays.

The role reports to the Global Marketing Director for Le Boat, with a 'dotted line' to the Global Director of Digital Media for Travelopia. The successful individual will have direct access to a wealth of marketing expertise, knowledge, and resources from the 180+ marketeers across the Travelopia portfolio of brands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining data-driven plans to deliver on brand awareness, new customer acquisition, and qualified lead generation to improve conversion and retention.
  • Being the global brand guardian, internally promoting, developing, and fostering the brand proposition, as well as how it is communicated to staff and customers globally.
  • Working with Operations and other colleagues to ensure the consistent and high-quality delivery of the brand's proposition end-to-end.
  • Managing the marketing budget, recommending allocation by source market to deliver acquisition activities while growing marketing efficiency and delivery of commercial targets.
  • Generating high-quality leads through the Acquisition team, guiding market-winning strategy across channels like PPC, social, display, partnerships, PR, influencers, podcasts, events, and ATL.
  • Collaborating to use customer data and insights to recommend segmentation and personalization strategies for acquisition globally to improve leads.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance and competitor activity on an ongoing basis, providing regular feedback to line managers and in key meetings.
  • Partnering internally to ensure websites are SEO-optimised and demonstrate CRO and other services from central Travelopia Group and Marketing Centers of Excellence.

Requirements include:

  • 10+ years of validated experience in a senior marketing leadership role within a global organisation in travel or marine sectors.
  • Knowledge and understanding of brand strategy, customer insight, proposition development, and acquisition marketing techniques.
  • Demonstrated success with customer acquisition strategies, with examples of cutting through in a driven market.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to efficiently multi-task.
  • Familiarity with analytics and CRM tools such as Hubspot.
