About the Team

The Computer Services team serves as the essential support structure for all employees at NEXT, facilitating both business operations and technological advancements. This team encompasses the first-line support staff, data management, service oversight, and the maintenance of our centrally managed systems. Additionally, they oversee critical components of NEXT Technology, including communication systems, managed printing, and reprographics.

The Technology Squad is primarily responsible for the IT Operations Management (ITOM) aspects of our ServiceNow platform, which includes managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), discovery processes, event management, and automation tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design and implement modifications to the ServiceNow platform, collaborating with third-party vendors for software development.
  • Assess, test, and execute any ServiceNow-related projects, ensuring effective communication and comprehensive documentation.
  • Prioritize tasks and identify opportunities for improvement through automation and orchestration.
  • Conduct regression testing and apply necessary fixes during system upgrades and patches.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Team Leader to provide subject matter expertise and strategic recommendations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Hands-on experience with development on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Background in the development and implementation of ITOM solutions.
  • Ability to estimate and contribute to both user and technical stories.
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise-level platforms.
  • Familiarity with system integration using web services such as REST and SOAP.
  • Understanding of web technologies including XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, and JSON.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, particularly with Glide APIs.
  • Capable of managing projects, testing processes, and documentation effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with MS SQL and PowerShell.

Desirable:

  • One or more CIS certifications.
  • Certified System Administrator certification.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with ServiceNow.
