About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Advocate Representative to join our dynamic team at Unity Communications. As a key member of our patient-centric call center services, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient care and resolving account issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of telephone calls to answer account inquiries and resolve payment concerns.
  • Communicate with patients in a clear, timely, and positive manner to ensure their needs are met.
  • Maintain adequate documentation, database, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departmental and hospital associates to provide seamless patient care.
  • Keep a working knowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including average hold time, call volume, and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
  • Professional attitude during urgent or confrontational situations to maintain a positive patient experience.
  • Effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to resolve complex account issues.
  • Independent and team-oriented working attitude to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn quickly and navigate multiple systems.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and Red Flag regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
