About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Advocate Representative to join our dynamic team at Unity Communications. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls to answer account inquiries, resolve payment concerns, and negotiate billing arrangements with patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients in a clear, timely, and positive manner, maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departmental and hospital associates to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of patient issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with departmental and hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including average hold time, call volume, and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor, even in urgent or confrontational situations.
  • Effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex patient issues.

  • Ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and Red Flag regulations, with a commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
