Role Responsibilities:

The Senior Presales Principal Consultant will collaborate closely with the Pursuit Lead to cultivate and maintain client relationships, focusing on strategic, innovative, and solution-oriented approaches to meet and exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with technical teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with design principles and support for engagements.
  • Assisting the Defence Pursuit Lead and the broader Defence team in shaping and executing Vodafone's Defence Strategy, identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Building and managing relationships with stakeholders at peer levels across customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Owning the development, documentation, and execution of solution strategies for targeted opportunities.
  • Providing leadership in technology and solutions for account and bid teams focused on identified opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with Vodafone standards and managing deviations as necessary, while defining new standards to meet Defence requirements.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Defence industry, including familiarity with Defence contractors.
  • Proven experience in leading successful outcomes for Defence-related solutions and bids.
  • Strong leadership capabilities in technology, solutions, and innovation across internal teams and partners.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of the Defence sector, contributing to business objectives.
  • Expertise in crafting solution visions and strategies to address complex needs within secure environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and architectures (e.g., NIST, NCSC, JSP).
  • Exceptional communication and thought leadership skills to influence and engage diverse audiences, including technical and executive stakeholders.

This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
