Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Presales Principal Consultant will collaborate closely with the Pursuit Lead to cultivate and manage client relationships, focusing on strategic, innovative, and solution-oriented approaches to meet and exceed client expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary liaison with technical teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with design principles and support for engagements.
- Assisting the Defence Pursuit Lead and the broader Defence team in executing Vodafone's Defence Strategy, identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Building and maintaining peer-level relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Owning the development, documentation, and execution of solution strategies for targeted opportunities.
- Providing leadership in technology and solutions for account and bid teams engaged in identified pursuits.
- Ensuring compliance with Vodafone standards while managing any necessary deviations and defining new standards to meet Defence requirements.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Defence industry, including experience with Defence contractors.
- A proven track record of leading successful outcomes in Defence-related opportunities and bids.
- Expertise in technology, solution, and innovation leadership, both internally and with partners.
- Commercial acumen and familiarity with the Defence sector, contributing to overall business objectives.
- Experience in crafting solution visions and strategies to address complex requirements within secure environments.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and architectures (e.g., NIST, NCSC, JSP).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and guide diverse audiences, including technical and executive stakeholders.
This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
