Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Complex Needs Support Specialist. In this position, you will be instrumental in assisting individuals who encounter significant and multiple challenges in transitioning from homelessness to stable housing.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Complex Needs Support Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Establishing and nurturing strong partnerships with referral organizations and leading all assessments.
  • Maintaining a manageable caseload of clients with a history of rough sleeping and complex needs.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration with external service providers.
  • Leading multidisciplinary team meetings and addressing safeguarding concerns.
  • Providing guidance and support to Project Workers regarding housing and support resources.

You will be one of two Complex Needs Support Specialists, working alongside a diverse team that includes Complex Needs Project Workers, Night Security, a Health Navigator, a Recovery Opportunities Coordinator, a Psychologist, and Team Managers.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience working with clients facing complex needs, including mental health and substance use issues.
  • A solid understanding of the operational methods within residential support schemes.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various professionals.
  • A reflective approach to practice aimed at enhancing service user experiences.
  • A commitment to a non-judgmental, strengths-based approach to supporting clients with multiple disadvantages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to achieve service objectives.
