**Complex Needs and Behaviour Support**
Engage Education are currently in partnership with a Specialist School in Wakefield working on a brand new Support role starting immediately. The School provides education for learners with complex needs and learning difficulties such as; ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and other additional needs such as those individuals who have SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health) difficulties.
This role will be an immediate start and is a full time position. Working hours will be 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
**The role**:
- Working with a small class of children to support their time in education
- Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task
- Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil
- Experience or knowledge of individuals with SEN or learning difficulties
- A calm and approachable nature and able to work with integrity and resilience
- Proven ability to work in smaller groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Able to show good teamwork skills and have confidence with a willingness to to learn
