About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Challenge Community Services. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and evaluating positive behaviour management plans to support individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement positive behaviour management plans, including strategies and recommendations to support individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
  • Provide information, guidance, and training using evidence-based, person-centred approaches to support individuals to achieve their personal goals.
  • Provide individual counselling and therapy across the lifespan.
  • Work effectively with children, young people, or adults with a range of disability, mental health, and/or complex behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with staff to support individuals who present with complex behaviours or behaviours of concern.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience and well-developed skills in working effectively with individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
  • Ability to work as a team member to consult and work with staff to support individuals with complex behaviours or behaviours of concern.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence, WWCC, Police Check, and NDIS Worker Check.
