Position Overview

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dedicated pharmacist to become part of an innovative and supportive pharmacy team. This specialist pharmacist role is designed for an individual with prior hospital or clinical experience, aiming to enhance their expertise in various medical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy support across multiple departments including acute medicine, geriatrics, respiratory care, rehabilitation, cardiology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, renal care, and gastroenterology.
  • Participate in weekend coverage for the acute medical receiving ward on a rotational basis.
  • Support a technician-led dispensary for a limited number of hours each week.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and service delivery.
  • Receive guidance and support from senior pharmacists, with opportunities to pursue prescribing qualifications if not already obtained.

Work Environment

This position is based in a picturesque rural setting, offering easy access to various regions. The facility utilizes advanced electronic prescribing systems and robotics, ensuring a modern and efficient working environment.

Additional Information

The role includes participation in the pharmacy team’s commitment to providing services during weekends and bank holidays, as well as on-call duties.
