Job Summary
NHS Scotland is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Acute & General Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients with complex pharmaceutical care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients in the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and General Medicine wards.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service, proactively influencing prescribing within a clinical setting.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and advice.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and promote optimal use of medicines.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge in clinical pharmacy services.
Requirements
- Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience working in a patient-focused environment, using knowledge and skills to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines.
