Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Mental Health Pharmacy team at NHS Scotland. As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will work as an integral member of consultant-led multi-disciplinary mental health teams to provide a patient-centered, safe, and effective clinical pharmacy service to both in-patients and out-patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to Adult Mental Health, Old Age Psychiatry, Learning Disabilities, Rehabilitation, Forensic, and Eating Disorders Services.
  • Support the technician-led dispensary service to ensure efficient and responsive supply of medicines to patients within the Mental Health Service.
  • Work across a range of clinical settings, including rotational weekend working in the dispensary at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services and policies.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Completed or undertaking Hospital post-registration training or equivalent experience.
