This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated pharmacist to become a vital part of our pharmacy team. As a key member, you will deliver a patient-centered, safe, and effective clinical pharmacy service to inpatients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing focused clinical services to patients.
  • Engaging actively with the multidisciplinary team during ward rounds and clinical discussions.
  • Promoting the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Exhibiting flexibility and strong communication skills.
  • Collaborating closely with senior pharmacy colleagues to foster leadership and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentoring and training junior pharmacists and supporting advanced technical roles.
  • Working alongside Interface and Home First Response teams to ensure continuity of care.

This position is ideal for qualified pharmacists who are advancing their professional development or nearing completion of their advanced practice portfolio. Candidates should be registered with the GPhC and possess relevant postgraduate experience. Experience in clinical pharmacy related to older adults and stroke services, as well as a broad range of medical specialties, is advantageous but not mandatory.

The Royal Alexandra Hospital is a busy general hospital with a significant number of beds, providing essential services to the community. Pharmacists are expected to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties as part of a rota.
