About the Role

State Street is seeking a seasoned executive to lead its Technology Controls Assurance Program, driving the transformation of the Technology estate across the enterprise. As a proven global leader, you will be responsible for establishing a robust program of current state understanding, leveraging data to identify gaps, and driving clarity on current risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with relevant functions and leaders to review and enhance current standards based on authoritative sources to fulfill regulatory expectations.
  • Assess the effectiveness of end-to-end processes in the GTS environment, reviewing control effectiveness from a process effectiveness perspective.
  • Identify L3 risks underlying the broader Technology Risk construct, working with the ERM organization.
  • Document gaps against optimal process effectiveness and establish remediation actions or supporting strategic programs.
  • Partner with the Head of Technology Risk and Regulatory Programs to ensure integration into the broader program.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Controls Testing, Design, and Automation to ensure a coordinated and effective execution plan.
  • Manage diverse, senior stakeholders to prioritize critical items against a complex agenda.
  • Build and manage a team of full-time and consulting resources to ensure effective execution and drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and challenge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience within the financial services industry, including time spent managing in an executive capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex transformation/remediation programs.
  • Relevant regulated financial service expertise, with an understanding of challenges of running a large-scale Technology transformation program.
  • Strong understanding of process-based business management and risk and controls.
  • Managed cross-border teams based over multiple locations, with experience working with regulators.
  • Extensive experience in managing large, complex third parties critical to the program's success.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills and relationship management capabilities, able to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively.

What We Offer

State Street offers a competitive salary range of $225,000 - $337,500 annually, commensurate with experience. The role will report to the CIO International, Head of Technology Transformation, Risk, and Governance.
