Role Overview

The position of IT Support Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for users seeking assistance with IT-related issues. This role is crucial in ensuring that our users receive timely and effective support, both remotely and in-person, for any technical inquiries or problems related to IT and telephony.

The Service Desk is integral to our IT service delivery framework, ensuring that all users have access to well-maintained and functional IT resources. This role is pivotal in supporting the Technical Services department's objective of delivering efficient services within established service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to first-line inquiries effectively, whether in person, via email, or over the phone.
  • Manage time efficiently to align with Service Desk priorities as directed by the Service Desk Team Leader.
  • Log, track, and resolve support requests using the designated Service Desk system.
  • Provide first and second-line support for software, infrastructure, and desktop services to end users.
  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience for all users.
  • Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction levels by collaborating with the IT Management team.
  • Coordinate with second-line teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and requests.
  • Deliver, install, and configure IT and telephony equipment as specified in the service catalog or upon user request.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or support role.
  • Familiarity with key enterprise IT systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong focus on customer service.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • A valid driving license is required.
