About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Director to lead our engineering team and drive the development of our innovative online education platform. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical design and execution of our platform, as well as managing a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical vision and direction for the engineering team, ensuring that our platform is scalable, secure, and meets the needs of our users.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Platform Development: Oversee the development of our online education platform, ensuring that it is built using best practices and meets the needs of our users.
  • Agile Methodologies: Lead the implementation of Agile methodologies across the engineering team, ensuring that we are working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality software.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop and implement a technical strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and QA, to ensure that our platform meets the needs of our users.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical design and development of content-centric web applications.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) for rapid product development and release.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical challenges and devise creative solutions.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges and objectives of small companies, with the ability to align technical and commercial strategies within budget constraints.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills to manage the dynamic nature of the role.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial contracts with third-party technology providers.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
